We buy audio components

We also stock hifi equipment and so, are looking to buy them, if you have any for sale. We are a bit fussy with what we buy with audio equipment because, over the years, we have found that the lower end of the market is not selling much. People seem to want mid to high end equipment. One reason is that the build quality of entry-level or mass-produced components don't last for decades, as parts wear out or corrode more easily and the amount of money we have to spend to get it to a fully functioning condition where we can give a 3 month warranty, in proportion to our selling price, makes it unviable if we are going to make a modest profit. 

But this is not something that you have to think about when considering offering such items to us. We ask that you give us make and model numbers and we will reply with what interest we have in a short time. We may ask you to send photos of the item with maybe a close up of certain areas and other questions. 

Once we assess the item, we will make you an offer. 

One point to note when offering us audio equipment: Unlike dealers who have brick and mortar stores who specialise in audio, we do not charge you a fee for us to take apart the items and inspect the parts and do a full working test. before offering a price. This is standard practice for audio shops, but you won't have to pay anything before we make an offer, when dealing with Ron's Records.
